Associate in Arts degree with Emphasis in Women's Studies

Students seeking an Associate in Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Education with an emphasis must successfully complete the AA requirements and the specific emphasis requirements.  Emphasis requirements may also be used to satisfy the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum Goal requirements.

Coursework in this area is supportive of four-year degree programs in women's studies as well as the related fields of human services, education, American studies and other social sciences and humanities.

Complete three of the following courses: (9 cr)

Mission Statement

Women's Studies is a multidisciplinary program which focuses on the experiences, responsibilities and roles of women in this country and around the world.  Women's Studies addresses the students' understanding of women as a distinct group, women's issues and appreciation for women's accomplishments and contributions.
