About MetNet
MetNet, a free, Web-based e-mail is Normandale’s official means of communication with students. As a student at Normandale, you are required to activate a MetNet e-mail account. Please make sure that you activate your MetNet e-mail account so you do not miss any important correspondence from the college.
E-mail can be activated and accessed on and off campus via the internet. To learn more about MetNet visit their E-mail Services home page by going to www.metnet.edu..
Student e-mail information sheets are available at the Computer Center Help Desk (3rd floor of the College Services building) and on the Normandale website under Current students and then Student Computing Services.
Your MetNet e-mail account remains active and free for life.
Initialize your account
Please make sure you read through all information that is displayed to you by MetNet. Note: Your password must contain letters and numbers and be between 6-8 characters in length. Once you have initialized your account write down your "Username" as it is displayed.

If you experience any problems while attempting to initialize your account, please contact a staff member of the Normandale Computer Center in person or by calling 952-487-8180.
Using your MetNet e-mail account
Access MetNet's Email Services web page (see below) and select your preferred version of WebMail: WebMail 2.0 or WebMail 3.0.
Enter your Username (four letters followed by four numbers) and Password.
When finished, remember to click on "Logout", and close the browser.
Click here to access MetNet's web page to log into your account.
Note: The first time you set a password, you will be asked to set a Security Question. Choose a question you feel would be most difficult for others to guess. Type the answer. Re-check your spelling! To apply the change, click the "Set Security Question Set".
Forgot Password
If you have forgotten your MetNet e-mail password and you have established your MetNet Security Hint Question please visit the MetNet Forgot Password web page to reset your password. Remember your password must contain letters and numbers and be between 6-8 characters in length. Please contact a staff member in the Computer Center at 952-487-8180 or in person if you experience any problems while trying to reset your password.
