With a Theatre Production and Design degree from Normandale, you’ll be ready to make your way into the exciting world of theatre, and you’ll be prepared to pursue a theatre production bachelor's degree in Arts or Fine Arts at one of seven Minnesota State colleges.

It’s a fact:  Normandale’s theatre program is the premier two-year theatre program in Minnesota. Plus, we are one of a select few fully accredited two-year theatre programs offered in the country.

We have state-of-the-art facilities, innovative and affordable theatre production degree programs, highly qualified faculty and access to one of the most vibrant arts communities in the nation.

Where Will a Theatre Production Degree Take You?

Our alumni with an associate degree in theatre have gone on to some of the best theatre schools around the state and abroad. And many are working professionals in the Twin Cities and other major markets including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

Our Associate Degree in Theatre Production and Design Program is Unique

During theatre design and production classes, students are highly mentored by faculty in a variety of settings, from one-on-one coaching to a workshop-based classroom environment. There are numerous hands-on opportunities to participate in the production season as you earn your associate degree in theatre, too.

In addition to an associate degree in theatre production and design, we offer a Theatre Performance Transfer Pathway (AFA) program in fine arts.
