Graduation is the formal completion of all degree requirements. Once you've met the conditions required for your program or certificate, your degree, major and/or certificate is recorded on your official transcript. Your graduation date is the last day of the term in which you completed your program requirements.
This is your first step. You must register for final coursework before completing the next steps.
Access your Degree Audit Report (DARS) through e-Services by following these steps:
Submit your graduation application. You are encouraged to apply for graduation by November 1 for fall semester, March 1 for spring and July 1 for summer to ensure the timely processing. The final application deadline is 30 days following the last day of the semester. Once you’ve applied, get excited! You’re close to achieving your academic goal!
Consider whether you'd like to attend the Commencement ceremony. Then think about things you might want to do shortly after you leave Normandale, such as becoming involved with the Normandale Foundation.
General requirements that must be met include:
Students completing program requirements in 4 years or less may follow either the catalog requirements in effect at the time of initial enrollment or the requirements of any succeeding catalog in effect during their period of enrollment.
Students who take longer than 4 years to complete program requirements may follow any catalog in effect during the 4-year period immediately preceding their date of graduation.
Students must meet the requirements from 1 catalog only (you may not combine degree requirements from more than 1 catalog). To change your catalog year, update your eServices account.
Note that some degree programs such as health sciences and computer technology require specific courses to be completed within a specific timeframe.
When you transfer, you must order your transcript to your new institution.
Upon a student's completion of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC), Normandale will add a notation on the student's transcript. An application is not required, and there is no paper certificate or diploma.
