Normandale Cares Emergency Grant

The application for students enrolled Spring 2025 term is now open! There is a new application process through Beam (click here to apply). You will need to create a username and password to login to this system and apply. If you are approved, you can select your payment method and Beam will send it directly to you or a 3rd party of your choosing.

During the application period, students can apply for grants of up to $500 to help cover unexpected expenses just beyond their means, which allows them to quickly return focus to their academic pursuits.

Students also will be referred to additional campus, community, and financial literacy resources to supplement the grants, address root causes or contributing factors to the financial emergencies, and further support students' persistence. 

You must be a current student enrolled in courses at Normandale and apply with your my.normandale.edu or my.minnstate.edu email account. 

• Requests that do not come from normandale/minnstate accounts will be denied. 
• If you are taking courses at multiple Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, you should request funding through your home school. 
• Awards are based on availability of funding. Students are eligible for only one payment each academic year.
