Students with disabilities are responsible for contacting the Office for Students with Disabilities to request services. Prior planning is the key to ensuring the proper delivery of services. On your first visit to the OSD, a staff member will discuss the accommodations you may need and the procedures for setting them up. Your disability information is maintained separate from your academic record in compliance with federal and state data practices laws. You are responsible for providing the disability office with current documentation as it relates to your disability and the accommodations you are requesting. Prior to the meeting you will fill out the intake form.
After you have completed the enrollment process and are registered for classes, schedule an intake/interview. You can schedule by using one of the web links below, or by calling 952-358-8625. You will need access to your college email account and star ID.
Schedule a Zoom Intake or Schedule an On-Campus Intake
IMPORTANT: Please note that you should not delay meeting with us out of a concern for not having the right paperwork. At the intake we will discuss specific documentation needs and steps you can take after the meeting. Our first priority is meeting with you, not reviewing the paperwork.

Self advocacy is critical to success in higher education. Colleges are restricted from seeking out students with disabilities due to privacy laws. You are responsible for requesting the services you believe you need; the college generally does not provide accommodations unless or until you ask. The ability to advocate will benefit you in your life and career.
